Cold or hot, Butter Beans go great in salads and casseroles. The beautiful large white bean is commonly mixed with onions, tomatoes, bacon and other savory foods. Cooking Tip:  Soak the beans for 8 hours before preparation. Drain and rinse the beans and then cover with fresh water. Simmer for 40-60 minutes and add your favorite complement to taste.  Storage Advantage: This product is packaged in a poly bucket which is flushed with Nitrogen. Storing your food in a cool and dry environment along with nitrogen packing insures living organisms can not survive and provides a maximum shelf life. Oxygen absorbers are helpful but they can only absorb a set amount of oxygen before the absorbtion chemical expires. Nitrogen will remain in the bucket until it is emptied.
